MY NEW YEAR RESOLUTION : I Hate Adekunle Gold!

00:04

Hey! is new year right? and everybody be on that new year resolution thing which is awesome but it's a shame how people think that the essence of it has been washed out and now they say its high time they abolish it(some people just take laws in their hands) who does that? (You don't have to answer that) now am not a fan of posting every lil hitch 'm up to on social media like the "new year new me" hitch "deleting fake friends is my new year plan" and the lots.......when i see stuff like that i see sheer ignorance i tell you but that doesn't make me hate on "new year resolution" and say "i think we should kill her, she for know good"( that will be the height of ignorance on my own part) it's just like me hating on Adekunle Gold for no reason but because padora won't stop over emphasizing on him being cute, how he's the prince charming, the man to work her down the aisle and bla..bla..bla...bla...(girls and fantasies is something else) but that doesn't  change the fact that he's an amazing talent, currently the best  at the moment of the proclaim  indigenous new school afro pop act.

Whats the sermon about? Simple, when the new year resolution  refuses to budge in for you or better still has been misused over and over again and it makes you want to puke the solution won't be condemning  and giving up but finding out why it's not functioning or why it seems impossible to get through with it. In this post i will be evaluating some of the causes of unfulfilled resolution and of cause some suggestion to get through that fog courtesy of the good book, personal experiences, some incredible books and of cause the amazing teachings of great counselors. I would start by rephrasing Bill Gate from one of his audio books  ;

"each of us is engineered for success in that we are built as a result of billion years of evolution we have a minds that is complex and wonderful that it can do things that no human computer will ever be able to do and we are engineered to achieve great success with our life's  however we are programmed for failure................It's more like we 've got a success mechanism and failure mechanism built into us. The failure mechanism goes off automatically and continuously but the success mechanism is triggered by a goal"

which implies that without "goals" we are like auto mobile's with no steering wheel controlled by external wind of peer group, societal norm, pop culture with an inevitable end point of destruction,depression, unfulfillment and all the "jara" that comes with the baggage. Owk lets see what we have here;

Setting unrealistic goals.

This is one of the basic reason why the new year resolution is tom cruise impossible like the analogy of a kid trying to bite more than he can chew. Unrealistic goals will definitely take you no where, with your mouth full with goals with no room for your tooth to do the work not only will it be tiring and frustrating but it's also discouraging. I suggest like I've always done, you set goals within your strength and capacity for it's not how far but how well. So take your time its your goal, your turf after all and no one else.

Talking too much and doing less
i think this is where people get vexed with the new year resolution. This is when you do more of Eddie Murphy and less of Jason Statham. You have to understand that life doesn't give you what you deserve  but what you demand and the only thing that works is hard work and not mouth work. one thing  that i've learned over the years, is to ensure that every day i take at-least a step towards my goal and that has kept me moving and i'm sure it would work for you.

it takes time
I know we are in a world that is constantly looking for "quick" fix, the right now now now sheyi shay people which is impossible for a lasting effect. For example droping a bad habit overnight that you've garnered for years is like aiming to become like dangote in a space of one year. It takes patience and like the saying goes Rome wasn't  build in a day it took time.

they are just goals
As hard as this may sound they are just goals when they are not accomplished they failed not you but its better than not trying at all. i've got alot of goals which i shifted upfront when i couldn't meet up. Guess what i found out? i found out somehow effortlessly i strike it out as a done deal. Think of yourself as one of those football team let's say Chelsea, what happens when they loss out to other teams? Do they just quit and say we ain't gonna play no more? absolutely not! they go back to their drawing board probably change their formation, fill in their lapses and then give it one more try.

its not by your power.
I hate to break this to you but this is for real. I don't care if you're Hercules or a mix breed of the expendables its just not your power.  you've got to understand that we're in a battlefield and our adversaries are on "ghost mode" and that understanding alone is key to fulfilling all types of goals( vision, purpose, et al). I hope you're not surprise? Why do you think when ever we've made a decision to do something pivotal to our growth, all of sudden its like the world is against us?..........let me drive it home with this " if God ain't in it you're just gonna be moving in circles".
